An Exploration of Colombian Vernacular Architecture.
Always present, constant. Existing even in the void. Not always impressive or worth noticing, but always there. Architecture goes beyond the making of buildings. It is inscribed in history and in turns helps to shape it. Forms and programs are political. We may choose to follow and support an ideology or paradigm, or completely go against it. This blog is my attempt to draw connections between architecture, design and larger social questions. It is not only the building. It is the context, the nested realities that surround it. Physical structures are the product of choices. Underlying them are clues for ideals and revolution. How has and could architecture better serve society?
